Dig for fun and know when to down tools

Before You Head Underground

Wild Miner is a bit of digging for entertainment, and that's where the shaft ends. If chasing gems starts costing money or rest you can't spare, put the pickaxe down and ask for help. It's free and private, available whenever you need it.

Signs of Problem Gambling

  • Spending more money than you can afford to lose
  • Neglecting work, family, or other responsibilities
  • Chasing losses by gambling more
  • Borrowing money or selling possessions to gamble
  • Lying about gambling habits
  • Feeling anxious or depressed about gambling
  • Being unable to stop or reduce gambling

Tips for Safe Gambling

Set a Budget

Mark how much you'll sink into the dig before you start, then cap it there.

Set Time Limits

Put a limit on your shift so one more seam doesn't keep you down all night.

Never Chase Losses

An empty vein isn't a promise of the next. Don't dig deeper to break even.

Take Breaks

Surface for air between digs. A short break keeps your judgment sharp.

Self-Assessment: Is Gambling Affecting You?

Give these a straight answer for a minute. They come from the Problem Gambling Severity Index (PGSI), unrelated to how Wild Miner pays out. Two or more “yes” answers, and it's worth reaching one of the organizations above.

1

Have you bet more than you could afford to lose in the past 12 months?

2

Have you needed to gamble with larger amounts of money to get the same feeling of excitement?

3

Have you gone back another day to try to win back money you lost?

4

Have you borrowed money or sold anything to get money to gamble?

5

Have you felt that you might have a problem with gambling?

6

Has gambling caused you any health problems, including stress or anxiety?
